Waxing gibbous moon emoji meaning

The waxing gibbous moon emoji is a graphical representation of the phase of the moon as it appears in the sky when the illuminated part of the moon is increasing or "waxing" and more than half but less than fully illuminated. This phase occurs when the Moon is located between a first quarter moon and a full moon. In this phase, the Moon appears as more than half but less than fully lit, the shape of the lit portion is not a perfect semicircle, giving a gibbous shape. This emoji can be used to indicate the progress of the lunar phase, or to represent the idea of growth, progress and increasing. It can also be used as a reminder of a certain date in a lunar-based calendar, such as Ramadan or Eid in Islamic calendar.
